Pacific Environment Limited was founded in 2006 and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX Code: PEH) in February 2008.

At listing, the company represented the roll up of four leading environmental businesses:

• Pacific Air & Environment (PAE), an air quality consultancy based in Brisbane
• Holmes Air Sciences, an atmospheric science consultancy based in Sydney
• New Environmental Quality (newEQ), an emissions measurement company based on Brisbane, and
• Toxikos, a toxicological consultancy based in Melbourne.

The consulting practices are all long established leaders in their fields, while newEQ was a newer company but with a similar focus on providing quality services.

Many of the original experts from Pacific Air & Environment and Holmes Air Sciences form our current Consulting business unit, which from 2009 until late 2012 was known as PAEHolmes. The former newEQ is now known as our Monitoring business unit while Toxikos maintains it's original brand name but welcomes many new experts.
