Robin Ormerod, a founder of Pacific Environment, and former Board member, is the National Practice Leader in Air Quality and Meteorology. Robin’s 33 years as an environmental consultant underpins the company’s active phase of business building and practice development. Robin is best known for his contributions in applying the science of meteorology, air quality, climate and acoustics in his work as a consultant in Australia. He has worked across all sectors including mining, industrial, power generation, landfills, and the agricultural area.
He has authored many peer-reviewed papers, contributed to technical journals and text books and conducted workshops on air quality in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the US. He has extensive expert witness experience in Australia and New Zealand, and is a Certified Consulting Meteorologist (American Meteorological Society), the only CCM in the environmental consulting field in Australia. He is a Life Member of the Clean Air Society of Australia & New Zealand and is currently the Chair of its Modelling Special Interest Group (ModSIG). He also chaired the Odour SIG from 2001 to 2004. These are forums for technical knowledge transfer. Robin co-founded Pacific Environment in 2006 after establishing Pacific Air & Environment in Brisbane with Kristin Zeise in 1995.

Ms Ainsley Simpson was appointed as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer in February 2015. She manages the Company’s actively growing multi-office consultancy. Her focus is on developing market opportunities across all business units, leading a culture that embraces change and driving business improvements that will deliver on the company’s growth ambitions. Ainsley brings first-hand experience in understanding the economic challenges our clients face in balancing environmental compliance needs with the ever shifting market place. Immediately prior to joining us, Ainsley established and executed acquisition strategies for new clients across seven environmental business units at Coffey International. As an Executive Director and COO of a large environmental and landscape architectural consultancy in South Africa, she helped expand market presence through collaborative consulting with clients, while overcoming the operational challenges of rapid expansion.

David Arbuckle, founder of the company’s Monitoring business unit (formerly newEQ) has recently accepted the position as the General Manager of the Queensland operations. As the GM of Queensland operations, David’s new role includes the management of Pacific Environment’s Brisbane-based air quality consulting group.
David’s 15+ years’ experience in air emissions testing enables him to integrate the two teams, seamlessly bringing the team together ensuring the same attention to quality control and client focus that he maintained whilst growing the monitoring group.
He has worked on a wide range of industrial, mining and public utility facilities throughout Australia and offshore. He has received specialist training in testing methods in the US and Europe, and regularly updates his skills via continuing training workshops in the US.
