Pacific Environment's toxicology business unit, Toxikos provides advice to companies, government agencies and legal firms on the potential effects chemical exposure may have on human health, farm animals and organisms in the environment.
We convert technical data into easy to understand, useable information to help manage chemical risks. We also help national and international companies to register industrial, agricultural, pharmaceutical, veterinary, or food products with the relevant government bodies both within Australia and New Zealand, as well as within other international jurisdictions.
Toxikos’ clients are primarily located in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and span chemical manufacturing, agriculture and veterinary chemical, food, mining, transport, environmental service, legal and government sectors.
Our advice ranges from toxic torts, product recalls, public health impacts, occupational health, to environmental impacts, and have established guidelines for assessing risks from exposure to chemicals. We are also frequently engaged to contribute to environmental impact statements and to peer review the work of third parties.
