Russell Jarman

Russell Jarman Environmental Consultant

Russell is an Environmental Consultant with 5 year’s experience in quarry remediation, establishment and monitoring of aquatic environments, and environmental compliance projects.  Joining DLA as of January 2015, Russell brings his experience on working for one of the largest sand and gravel quarry’s in the southern hemisphere, while broadening his experience and application to a variety of worksites across the Sydney basin.

Russell completed his honours thesis at the UWS Hawkesbury campus in 2008, titled “Ecology of the Australian Bass in the Penrith Lakes System”.  Following on from this he was then employed by the Penrith Lakes Development Corporation, progressing through the organisation to be a key author and manager of the final water management plan for the Scheme relating to water quality objectives.  Through research and development projects Russell also has two published peer reviewed papers presented at the Australian Mine Rehabilitation and the Stormwater NSW Conferences in 2013.

The Penrith Lakes project is close to Russell’s heart, being a resident of the Penrith LGA for over 20 years and remains home for his wife and two young sons.  Aside from work, family life and house improvements consume most of Russell’s spare time, and he looks forward to being able to take his boys fishing for Bass at the lakes he helped establish.
