2014 Local Government – Sustainability and Financial Management Solutions Showcase
We are pleased to announce that Pacific Environment will be contributing to the 2014 Sustainability & Financial Management Solutions Showcase.
Over the past few years there has been increasing focus on both sustainability and financial management. This has pushed local governments to find more efficient, cost-effective solutions to address the increased demand for better information and improved outcomes.
Pacific Environment’s sessions within the showcase will be presented by Paul Smith and Ross Lawrence. Paul has over 30 years’ experience as an Environmental Scientist and Hydrogeologist. He has contributed to environmental investigation and monitoring projects on more than 400 sites across Australia and South East Asia. Ross has been active in the solid waste and contaminated land sectors for over 10 years and has worked on projects in both Australia and South East Asia.
Much has changed in recent times within environmental monitoring and the new techniques have the capacity to realise significant savings for clients. Sessions involving Pacific Environment will focus on providing background information on emerging, approved techniques for the investigation and remediation of contaminated land, such as ‘phytocapping’.
Attendance to the showcase is free of charge but numbers are strictly limited and it is only open to local government members. The dates and session locations (which run from 9:30am to 4:00pm) are as follows.
